All Journey models feature standard next-generation multistage driver and front-passenger air bags, *supplemental front seat-mounted side air bags,* and supplemental side-impact inflatable curtain air bags for all three rows* — that's six air bags of protection total!

Additionally, an Occupant-Restraint Controller (ORC) deploys air bags as required. The two-stage output also helps the air bag system protect against air bag–induced injuries to small, unbelted or out-of-position occupants.
